Youth Haven announces a $5,000 donation from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to support the organization’s Teen Homeless and Transitional Living Program. This program is part of Youth Haven’s mission to protect and empower children and strengthen families in Southwest Florida.
The Teen Homeless and Transitional Living Program is the only drop-in center and shelter for Collier County’s runaway and unaccompanied homeless youth between the ages of 14-19.
“Along with our collaborative partners, we share an important mission to serve runaway and homeless youth and to help them get off the streets,” said Jinx Liggett, Executive Director at Youth Haven. “It is due in part to amazing organizations like Suncoast that we are able to change the lives of many forgotten, homeless youth.”
The Suncoast Credit Union Foundation has raised and donated over $16 million dollars since its inception in 1990.
“Our foundation works to promote the education, health and emotional well-being of children in the communities we serve,” said Cindy Helton, Executive Director of the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation. “This program is one that we are proud to support because it directly aligns with our mission and helps stabilize young people at such a critical juncture in their lives.”Tags: Grants, Homeless Teens, Suncoast Credit Union, Transitional Living Program, youth haven
