Youth Haven has been awarded $10,000 from the Women’s Circle of Collier County that will benefit Youth Haven’s Rapid Rehousing Program. This grant will provide an extension Rapid Rehousing Program to offer homeless women with children preventative and intervention services to address the myriad of causes women and children are facing with homelessness in Collier County.
The Women’s Foundation of Collier County focuses on “society’s most chronic problems which usually fall hardest on women and girls” which include homelessness for women and families. Youth Haven addresses the issue of homelessness with both through our rapid rehousing program, by assessing and addressing the unique needs of homeless women and families.
According to Debra Mahr, Director of the Homeless Teen and Transitional Living Program at Youth Haven “These funds will eliminate the trauma children face when experiencing homelessness by helping families that lose housing become re-housed and stable.”Tags: Grants, Women's Foundation of Collier County, youth haven
