Collier County Sheriff’s Department (CCSO) will host an on campus summer camp for the children of Youth Haven. This unique experience will begin June 14th and will allow the children to learn new skills, gain self-confidence and enjoy activities they would not normally have the opportunity to attend. Youth Relations Deputies will be participating in the on campus events, providing the children and CCSO the opportunity to build positive relationships with each other. Joining the role models of our community with the children of Youth Haven will allow for these children and law enforcement to gain a mutual trust and understanding.
Along with the day camp, the children of Youth Haven will also be participating in the Youth Deputy Club Camp which for 1st – 5th graders, and will give teenagers the opportunity to serve as assistant camp counselors. Youth Haven will also be participating in Collier County’s Hot Summer Nights. All activities will give the children of Youth Haven a summer filled with fun and educational events, and further develop their understanding that they are an important part of our community.
“We value Youth Haven’s ongoing partnership in helping us keep Collier County a great place and a safe place,” said Sheriff Kevin Rambosk. “When we invest our time, talent and energy in our young people, we are helping them grow up to be productive members of our community.”
