Special Events Coordinator

Purpose: Responsible for the management and coordination of all Youth Haven events as well as the development of community partnership to further the mission of Youth Haven. This position develops sponsorship/trade/business arrangements and relationships with businesses, individuals and organizations interested in supporting Youth Haven events and activities.

Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Director of Development.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Event Coordinating

  • Coordinate event logistics, publicity, including public relations, advertising and collateral material design, production and distribution.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the events and marketing budgets.
  • Responsible for silent auction, prize and in-kind donation solicitations for each event.
  • Cultivate and expand sponsorship development and fulfillment.
  • Coordinate logistics of event ticket sales.
  • Coordinate with event contractors.
  • Cultivate and expand donor development programs.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Director of Development in other fundraising programs as necessary.
  • Manage all aspects of event committees and volunteer coordination, including but not limited to: staffing, recruitment, supervision, training and acknowledgement.

Community Outreach

  • Contribute to creation and implementation of annual outreach plan and development plan.
  • Maintain relationships with collaborative partners and cultivate new ones.
  • Coordinate community outreach and partner events as well as serve as a liaison for events.
  • Submit regular reports of activities to supervisor.
  • Support volunteer program and other related areas.

Donor Relations & Communication

  • Respond to donor inquiries and donations in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Provide support in the creation and distribution of donor communications (electronic and print) and appeals, including disaster-related, destination and anniversary appeals.
  • Maintain donor confidentially and ensure compliance with related policies.
  • Seek new processes to increase the efficiency and efficacy of the donor collection and stewardship process.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum two years experience in special events and/or marketing position. Non-profit experience preferred but not required.
  • Evidence of successful event, sponsorship, marketing, public relations and business development/relationship programs required.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and analytical in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign programs a plus.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, and exhibit time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

Marketing Coordinator

Purpose:

Marketing & Public Relations

  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
  • Schedule and organize the creation of website and social media content.
  • Write and distribute press releases and other announcements, and develop storytelling content for publication and distribution.
  • Write content for and develop monthly e-newsletter and other e-communications.
  • Develop content and graphics for annual report, annual donor appeals, mailings, event invitations, brochures and other print collateral.
  • Contribute to the annual development calendar.
  • Monitor non-profit industry news and follow emerging trends to ensure marketing strategies are current, and seek new processes to increase the efficiency and efficacy of the marketing and public relations goals and progress.
  • Provide support for event logistics, publicity, public relations, advertising and collateral material design, production and distribution.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Director of Development in other programs as necessary.

Clinician I

Youth Haven, a non-profit agency dedicated to protecting and empowering children and strengthening families in Southwest Florida, is seeking a clinician to work with teens, specifically those associated with Youth Haven’s Homeless Teen Transitional Living Program. Must be passionate about serving the community, demonstrate an ability to be self-directed, highly motivated and team driven.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling or a related field and at least two (2) years’ experience working with teens in a like environment. It is strongly preferred that the clinician is licensed to practice in the State of Florida.

Youth Care Worker FT/PT & PRN SHIFTS

Local non-profit emergency shelter for children removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect needs dynamic, caring individuals to work full-time/part-time & PRN second & third shift positions within the Emergency Shelter. Youth Care Workers provide supervision of children in residence, consistency and structure in daily routines, assistance with record keeping, and overall duties necessary for the care and well-being of the children, many of whom have suffered trauma and have behavioral challenges.
