Youth Haven’s 31st Annual “Fairways for the Future” Golf Tournament raised $220,000 for the children and teens of Youth Haven. Hosted at Grey Oaks Country Club on Monday, April 23, the tournament welcomed over 120 golfers for its shotgun start, and over 160 guests for the kick-off party on the evening prior. This popular annual event has raised $1 million in the last five years alone to help protect and empower the abused, neglected and abandoned children of Southwest Florida.
The two day fundraiser featured a kick-off event with live entertainment by Ben Allen Band, silent and live auctions, raffle, champagne tastings and more. The following day, golfers were treated to a personal skills clinic with professional golfer Chip Beck, and a demonstration by award-winning long drive hitter David Mobley prior to 18-holes of golf and an awards reception.
Following a successful weekend of events, Event Co-Chair Rodney George said, “It was an honor to chair this important event for a second year in a row, bringing our community together in support of its children in need. We know these funds will have an immediate impact, and thank our supporters for their generous contributions.”
