February 15th will mark the third annual Give Where You Live, Collier County’s 24-hour donation drive. The event will begin at noon on Wednesday, February 15th .The Richard M. Schultz Foundation will provide a donation match up to $500,000, providing a wonderful opportunity for community partners to maximize the impact of their donations. Beasley Broadcast Group will host a live telethon to benefit Youth Haven at the Naples Harley Davidson Dealership from 12:00p.m.-4:00p.m. The dealership will continue to accept donations until 7:30p.m. that evening. Those who would like to lend their support for needed funds to protect and empower the abused, abandoned and neglected children in Southwest Florida may visit the telethon or call ahead to arrange pick-up of donation.
Youth Haven is one of 40 other nonprofits in the area who have been invited to participate in this exciting event. Give Where You Live encourages Collier County residents to donate where they reside and help a charity near them. Donations made on February 15th-16th will benefit Youth Haven, Southwest Florida’s only emergency residential shelter for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect and abandonment.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for Collier County to learn about and support local nonprofit organizations,” Youth Haven’s Executive Director, Jinx Liggett.
