Youth Haven Raises Over $85,000 In 24-Hour Donation Drive

Youth Haven surpassed its donation collection goal and collected $87,670 in a 24 hour period, exceeding last year’s total donation collection by $20,000. Youth Haven was one of 38 participants in Community Foundations annual donation collection drive, Give Where You Live.

To help increase funds raised during the 24-hour giving period, Youth Haven hosted a live donation collection at Barbatella Restaurant on Wednesday, February 21st for any donors who wanted to drop-off a check or cash donation. Give Where You Live also keep their leaderboard updated with donations made online.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for Collier County to learn about and support local nonprofit organizations all while maximizing every dollar of their donations,” Youth Haven’s Executive Director, Jinx Liggett.

Give Where You Live Collier is a county wide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Collier County through a donation match. The Community Foundation of Collier County and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation partnered with local nonprofit organizations this year. Each nonprofit receives 100% of all initial donations, and also a percentage of the match provided by the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation and the Community Foundation of Collier County.
