Meet theChildren and Teens of Youth Haven

Stevie - 7

Stevie, 7

Stevie came to Youth Haven from a chaotic, dirty and unsafe home. He was very fearful and withdrawn. Youth Haven staff provided everything he needed to feel safe, secure and nurtured. Day by day, with the help of tutoring and therapy, Stevie began to trust and feel joy again. After a 5 month stay at Youth Haven, Stevie was placed in a foster home and still returns to campus once a week for continued therapy sessions.

"Without Youth Haven, I would still be self-harming, not eating, and struggling to be a functioning person. I am slowly learning that I MATTER and that I am enough. Just like a mom, my Case Manager keeps me on schedule so nothing falls through the cracks. Youth Haven’s Homeless Teen & Transitional Living Program has saved my life and I am grateful for all that they have done and continue to do."
Darius - 15

"Youth Haven SAVED MY LIFE. They’ve gotten me into school and they support me in a way I’ve never really had before.”
Jasmine - 18

Jasmine, 18

"Moving to Youth Haven really changed my life. Without them, I would be dead, pregnant or in jail. I am encouraged to go after my dreams and achieve my goals. I am enrolled in college and work part-time. Here at Youth Haven, our OPPORTUNITIES ARE ENDLESS."

Counseling Center

Youth Haven’s licensed therapists begin the process of mending traumatized lives through traditional as well as cutting edge, innovative therapies.

Specialized therapies include certified Animal-assisted Therapy, and certified Play Therapy for young children.

The Counseling Center accepts Medicaid and is open to all members of the community.

Emergency Shelter

Youth Haven is Southwest Florida's safe haven for young victims of abuse, neglect and/or abandonment who need immediate protection after being quickly removed from their homes for their own safety due to dangerous and/or neglectful crisis situations.

Boys and girls ages 6-18, are placed in our temporary care by the State through the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida until a more permanent placement can be found.

Homeless Teen & Transitional Living Program

The Homeless Teen & Transitional Living Program was established in late 2013. This is the only program of its kind in Collier County that addresses the issue of the community’s homeless and runaway teenage population in a safe, compassionate and accepting environment. The program provides teen housing and comprehensive supportive services designed to break the cycle of homelessness and effectively address the needs of these adolescents during a critical moment in their lives.
